Product Roadmap

I plan to make Auth available on all platforms, including iOS, Android, and Windows and Mac via Chrome, Firefox, and Safari extensions. The end goal is to have all of these apps sync so you have access to your 2FA tokens on any device.

As I'm a solo developer, I'm working on releasing these apps one by one to ensure quality and consistency across all platforms. Below I outline the current roadmap for Auth.

Mobile apps

It makes sense to start with mobile apps as they are the most popular way people currently use 2FA. I am starting with a release on iOS shortly followed by Android. These apps will be in a closed beta test before public release to implement your feedback.

I also plan to add support for WatchOS and iPadOS later on.

  • Waiting: Android public release

  • Waiting: Apple Watch companion app

Web extensions

To provide support for desktop operating systems I plan to create extensions for all the popular browsers. Given the amount of work that needs to be done on mobile before I can start on these I haven't got a solid date in mind yet.

  • Waiting: Chrome extension

  • Waiting: Firefox extension
